Welcome to Impact Academy
We are a privately owned K-12 school for children with special needs. We have two convenient locations. The Seffner facility is a not-for-profit located in an 8,000 sq. ft. building with 9 classrooms. This location has an amazing sensory gym, large cafeteria/assembly area, home economics program, quiet room, therapy rooms and much more. Our second location in South Tampa is for-profit, and located just minutes from the Crosstown and near MacDill AFB. This facility is over 11,000 sq. ft. and also boasts all the same things as the Seffner location.
Impact Academy serves children ages 4 – 22. We understand that each child is different and capable of achieving their academic and social goals at varying times. Success is obtainable by developing an individualized plan for your child’s needs; incorporating the use of technology for communication in conjunction with an adaptive curriculum. Impact Academy will accept the McKay and Gardiner (PLSA) Scholarships, (www.floridaschoolchoice.org) and private pay. If your child currently attends a public school and has an IEP, we will happily speak with you regarding your child’s matrix scores and explain the financial/and academic benefits available to you when transferring to a private school.
Our up and coming transitional day training program will be for adults 18 years of age and older. Independence is something that is important to all of us. Our day service program will assist the people we serve in preparing to achieve greater independence so that they may lead the lives they choose with dignity and purpose. We will focus on life skills, job skills, continued academics, arts, games and physical fitness. Our training facility will strive to attain the greatest degree of independence for each individual.
What is different about Impact Academy?
We get it
The families that have developed the mission/plan for our program are not only well-established professionals in the community, but also the parents of special needs children.
Our staff is comprised of experienced teachers with backgrounds in special education. Our low student/teacher ratios allow us to focus on academics as well as functional living skills.
With three behavioral companies exclusive to our campus as well as speech and occupational services, our students receive support in various areas as needed.
